From The Service Team at Deery Brothers JEEP of Waukee, Iowa: Here's a step-by-step guide to installing a Start/Stop Eliminator on your Jeep. This guide assumes you're using a plug-and-play eliminator like the Autostop Eliminator, which is one of the most popular and reliable options. Click Here to purchase.

🔧 Tools & Materials Needed

  • Start/Stop Eliminator module (make sure it matches your exact Jeep model/year)
  • Trim removal tool or flathead screwdriver (optional, but helpful)
  • Flashlight (optional)

✅ Compatibility Check

Before installation, confirm:

  • Your Jeep model and year are supported by the module (Wrangler JL, Gladiator JT, Grand Cherokee WK2, etc.)
  • The module is designed specifically for your vehicle's Start/Stop system—not a universal one

🚗 Installation Instructions (Autostop Eliminator – Wrangler JL/Gladiator JT Exampl

1. Turn Off the Jeep

  • Make sure the engine is off and the keys are removed.
  • For push-button start models, turn off the ignition fully (don’t leave it in accessory mode).

2. Access the Dash Panel

  • Locate the Start/Stop button panel—this is the section of the dash that contains the “A” button.
  • Use a trim tool or your fingers to gently pull the panel outward from the edges.
  • It pops off with light pressure—don’t force it.

3. Unplug the OEM Harness

  • Behind the panel, find the connector attached to the Start/Stop button module.
  • Press the release tab and disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the switch assembly.

4. Install the Eliminator

  • Plug the Start/Stop Eliminator module into the factory wiring harness.
  • Then plug the other end of the eliminator into the back of the Start/Stop button.

✅ It’s essentially a "Y" connection—your new module sits between the factory harness and the original button.

5. Tuck and Close

  • Tuck the wiring and module securely into the dash so it doesn't rattle or interfere with anything.
  • Snap the dash panel back into place carefully, pressing evenly until it's flush.

6. Test It Out

  • Start your Jeep.
  • The “A” light should automatically turn off without you pressing anything.
  • The system will now remember your preference permanently—even after shutdowns or battery disconnects.

🧼 Optional Tips

  • Keep the original packaging in case you want to uninstall later.
  • These devices don’t affect your warranty, but if you go in for service, you can easily unplug it beforehand.

🧠 Done!

Your Jeep will now start with Auto Start/Stop OFF by default, and you can still manually turn it back on anytime with the dashboard button.

RAM service technician changing oil under a vehicle

Fall RAM Service Checklist: Getting Ready for Winter

Scheduling RAM service in Waukee, IA this fall puts your truck on solid footing before winter starts testing it. Subzero starts, icy roads, and heavy snow demand more from every system on a RAM truck, and small problems don't stay small for long. At Deery Brothers Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Waukee, we work through this checklist to keep you working all season. Test the Battery and Charging System Cold cuts battery output just as a cold engine demands more power to turn over. We test battery health and alternator output, clean corroded terminals, and replace a weak battery before it leaves you stranded at the job site. A weak battery may show warning signs such as slow starts, but testing it before winter can help prevent unexpected failures. Refresh Fluids for Freezing Weather The fluids come next, and each one has a cold-weather job to do. Fresh oil flows faster on a cold start, so we change it if you're near your next interval. We also verify coolant protection against freezing and swap in a winter-rated washer fluid. Prepare Tires and Brakes for Ice With the engine covered, we turn to the grip and stopping power you count on when the pavement turns slick. We measure tread depth, set tire pressure for colder air, and inspect brake pads and rotors. If your RAM truck has four-wheel drive, we confirm the system engages smoothly. Restore Visibility and Cabin Heat Short days and blowing snow demand a clear view ahead. We replace streaking wiper blades, check every exterior light, and confirm the heater and defroster clear the glass fast. Schedule Your Fall RAM Service in Waukee, IA Knock out this checklist now, and your truck will start, stop, and see clearly all winter. Pick a time on our website or call our service advisors before the first snowfall fills the schedule. The technicians at Deery Brothers Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Waukee will cover every item and keep your truck tough through the coldest months.

2027 Dodge Charger on the road in Autumn

2027 Dodge Charger Performance Features

The 2027 Dodge Charger does not ease into a conversation, it announces itself, and the all-new Hurricane™ SIXPACK engine lineup backs up every bit of that attitude. This is a muscle car built for people who want horsepower now, not eventually. Deery Brothers Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Waukee is ready to show you exactly what that looks like out on the open Iowa road. Step up to the Scat Pack and the high-output version of that same engine takes over, pushing 550 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque through a 3.9-second run to 60 and a 12.2-second quarter mile. An eight-speed automatic and standard all-wheel drive put every bit of that power down without drama. Built to Put the Power Down Every 2027 Dodge Charger backs its engine with a mechanical limited-slip rear differential and an on-demand rear-wheel-drive mode, giving you old-school muscle car handling whenever you want it. Scat Pack models add standard Launch Control and Line Lock, while Brembo® six-piston front brake calipers and a Custom Drive Mode are available on the R/T through the Performance Handling Group.
